I read every day, and post reviews at least twice a week as Laura Black Reads.

I love romcoms, contemporary and historical, sports romance, and magic. Best of all are books with a thoughtful focus other than just the characters and their HEA. Grief, angst, mystery, and whimsy are all so good. Open or close the door, both work for me!

I am passionate about assisting and promoting independent and established writers. I read (and read and read) romance novels. Basically I love clever, fresh and thoughtful romances — yes to plot and spice and themes.
